Internal Error
well, I tried to solve the problem myself, and I even asked j4mesb0nd for help, but without any success, even he couldn't help me
the problem is that I cannot run the mod itself.
Before installing I had a small modification of rules.ini and several cameos added (all by myself). I put them all into expandXX.mix file for convenience.
After I decided to install ADW, I removed my mini-mod and installed everything as needed, all MIX and INI were put into game directory as it was told. Game started, I saw new loading screens, new maps, new sides in skirmish. I selected all necessary settings and started the skirmish. While loading it gave me an Internal Error on the fifth line "Creating theories on likely enemy plan..."
I had Firestorm 2.03
I tried to completely remove TibSun and reintall it, patch and then install TF:ADW. Without success. I tried reinstalling several times, with or without Firestorm, but I always failed... ADW simply didn't work, giving me only Internal Errors...
I don't know what was wrong, but I hope that you, comrades, still are able to help me QUICK_EDIT
Have you tried downloading TF: ADW again? Maybe the file was corrupted slightly.
I cannot download again until February some problems with $$$
But' as I know all the files were normally extracted from the archive and they normally open with XCC Mixer.
that's strange...
Sorry i couldn't help fix the problem with my suggestions. As of the moment it seems the only plausable reason is that some of the files may have been corrupted. QUICK_EDIT

That's not your fault, comrade
I downloaded it with ReGet Deluxe. maybe that is the reason, but, as I know, I didn't have corrupted files after this program before, and if the archive is corrupted, it will become clear while extracting files from it.
I'll try to download TF:ADW again in February, as soon as I receive my internet money QUICK_EDIT
Alright. I hope it works then. & when you goto download it, get this patch afterwards also at: http://tfadw.ppmsite.com/TFADW101.zip it fixes the sound issues the mod has. QUICK_EDIT

@Dreadlord: I guess you have WinXP? Then it *might* be possible to try different compatibility modes on the TS game.exe, that sometimes helps. Some people had similar problems with RotD, and in some cases a different compatibility mode helped. QUICK_EDIT
compatibily with Win98 made Tiberian Future work, Reaperrr, big thanks for the help ))
2 J4mesb0nd - I liked this mod. I've never seen anything like this especially I liked RA2/YR music and graphics. at last someone found a good use for them )

Oh yeah. Compatibility. I forgot about that. Hell, I had the same problem as you, Dreadlord. But I managed to fix it by myself. _________________ Destroy to create. All for the hunt to dominate!

I have to write this over again becauese I was buped Damn AOL
I encoutered the IE problem with the campaigns from the start.
But when I upgraded to 2.03 skirmish maps would load completely then the game would exit itself but not in 2.00
Lets take a look at the changes made since 2.0 I took this directly out of the pacth log
Quote:
Tiberian Sun Patch
Version 2.03
May 31, 2000
Changes in V. 2.03
------------------
- Fixed bug that could have a negative impact on game
performance at the beginning of a multiplayer game. ---Interesting maybe it backfired
- Fixed bug that could cause the game to lock up if a player
sold their last building after surrendering. ---thank you
- Fixed bug that allowed cheating players to lock their opponent's
harvesters out of their own refineries. --- how the hell can u do that!?
- Mammoth Mk II hit points changed from 800 to 1200. ---WUHAHAHA
- Fixed a condition where a multiplayer disconnect would
occasionally fail to be reported. -- good it should be reported
Changes in V. 2.02
------------------
- Out of sync between Tiberian Sun and Firestorm in Tiberian
Sun mode is fixed. ---WTF dose that mean?
- Technicians being incorrectly substituted for engineers in
various circumstances in non-English Firestorm is fixed. --- So I love the Technichen note I live in the US
- World Domination Tour map settings don't get changed with
"Surprise Me". they did? BTW if Westwood lies in a shallow grave dug by EA, how are we supposed to play WDT?
if its not in here then it might be in PATCHW32.DLL or the patch MIX file (if there is one I might have deleted it )
lets ponder this and see if we can fix it and make that fix availible to the public Because
personely I do not want to see theis mod wind up on Dead Dragon or some similar site I WILL NOT LET THIS MOD DIE! even if I have to take over
lets try and fix it when were done fixing it we can make the new campains for the Forgotton and Cabal _________________ QUICK_EDIT
As D2K suggests, it isnt a very common occurance, & most wont have problems with the mod with needing to put on compatibility mode. But for those who do, its simple to just change to compatibility mode, if i release a version with its custom exe & people complain about IE often, then i may release it with compatibility already enabled. However at the moment, not such a big deal. QUICK_EDIT
Many people asked me how to do this thing, so I'll post it here.
=============
How to add compatibility option into Windows 2000:
Works in Windows 2000 SP 2 or later.
1. Open Start menu => Run
2. Enter this command: regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll
and hit OK
3. Hit OK once more to confirm.
After this, when you open Properties, you'll see new Compatibility section. QUICK_EDIT

here you go
Error code: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Description: The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
Access address:3739383B was read from.
Exception occurred at 772A1AD5

Release Build: 10 by STEVE_TALL - 06/05/2000 - 14:27:06

"Game over you have lost" has only occurred to me when playing with bases/short game on, due to new side MCV coding which requires you play with both options off.
As for BUILDNGZ.SHP, I don't recall editing one, and the error has not occurred to myself or anyone else that I know of besides from you. Perhaps it is a byproduct of playing with the incorrect options on, or an unclean directory. QUICK_EDIT
