Red Alert 2 Archives -> Scrapped Logos and Box Art

The old Red Alert 2 logo was found on the original Intro video, backdropped with descending paratroopers. It is incredibly rare in this high-resolution, high-quality form, and was most likely used until Mid-2000.

The 3 box arts are prototypes explored by Westwood and eventually scrapped. They are similar to the final box art, and also to the classic C&C box-arts in that they portray a nameless commander or soldier. The 3rd box-art, with the rather ugly prosthetic tactical soldier, came in 3 variants.

The second unused box, which is very similar to the one used with the shipped game, was a revision of the first box art. The 3rd boxart is unknown as to when it was designed, used, or even what it was trying to look like. Perhaps Volkov?

Logos, yea... the movie can be found at FileFront, its the orignal from the old Westwood FTP that was up there. Its in 640x400.

But i think i have to try and remake it now ^_^

Perhaps make a special section in the TS, RA2, Generals and C&C3 forums showcasing these?

Its material people will want to be able to easily find.

creepy girl..! but I always wondered why volkov never made it to the game? I always thought he was on the cover...or some mention of the cybernetic implants or post-humanist/cyber-punk russia implied by all these little gadgets and what not.

I hated those box arts, they were so undetailed. The woman ones look like someone tried to suffocate her in a tight plastic bag but forgot there were holes exactly where her eye and mouth were.
