you should try to give the round main body part some better (round) normals. It looks like a 45° rotated box imo
but the rest of the voxel is cool. _________________ SHP Artist of Twisted Insurrection: Nod buildings
Simply stunning, it looks beautiful. The MV Privateer is meant to be like a Tornado, you couldn't tell though... And Give the 30mms Air2air Capability, because that's what they're really for. _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT

I used a Autonormals 1.1 script then I manually paint it from there, I don't see any problems with the normals. also normals index # 26 and 35 are curved normals so you get the curved look ingame
@Lt Albrecht: I might give the MG AA abilities when it reaches veteran rank.
@Dregan: I got the feeling that C&C: Shattered Skies might become another D-day Thanks for your support
Also ingames comming soon, just gotta finish that Typhoon _________________

Roach, the GR3 is the ground attack one and the reason that those guns are 30mm is so that they can take out aircraft, there are 2 ways to kill modern jets with guns, one is to have a massive volume of fire (vulcan), the other is to have a larger weapon where fewer hits will do the same job (30mm cannons in tornado, mirage etc). The raison d'etre is to kill fighters, please let them do that _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. It is not forgotten. QUICK_EDIT
Nice voxel, but you should probably round off the back windows. They end in too much of a right angle on the voxel.

There is no GR3* and the cannon is 27mm**. For the sake of an RA2 mod it would make more sense to have a dedicated ground attack aircraft and a dedicated air superiority aircraft rather than one all-powerful unit, though I'm not sure how that's affected by this being based on Ace Combat.

A post on forums found with Google for the sake of having the full lineup wrote:
GR.1, GR.1A (recce), GR.1B (anti-shipping), F.2 (original ADV, complete with Blue Circle "radar"), F.2A (F.2 updated to near -->), F.3 (interceptor), EF.3 (Weasel), GR.4 (updated GR.1) and GR.4A (updated GR.1A).

RAF Information Page for the Tornado GR4 wrote:
The GR4 can carry up to three Paveway II, two Paveway III or Enhanced Paveway Laser and Global Positioning System Guided Bombs (LGBs), and by using a Thermal Imaging Airborne Laser Designation (TIALD) pod it is able to self-designate targets for LGB delivery. The GR4 also has a ground-mapping radar to identify targets for the delivery of conventional 1000lb bombs and BL755 cluster bombs. All GR4 aircraft are capable of carrying the Air Launched Anti- Radiation Missile (ALARM), which homes on the emitted radiation of enemy radar systems and can be used for the suppression of enemy air defences. The GR4 is capable of carrying up to nine ALARM missiles or a mixed configuration of ALARM missiles and bombs. In the reconnaissance role the GR4 can carry the Digital Joint Reconnaissance Pod to provide detailed reconnaissance imagery; this is currently being replaced with the RAPTOR pod, which provides an even greater day-and night reconnaissance potential.
For self-protection, the GR4 is normally armed with two AIM-9L Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missiles, a BOZ-107 Pod on the right wing to dispense chaff and flares and a Sky Shadow-2 electronic countermeasures pod on the left wing. The aircraft can also carry an integral 27mm Mauser cannon capable of firing 1700 rounds per minute.
The Tornado GR4 is now equipped with the Storm Shadow missile and will soon be equipped with the new Brimstone missile. The Storm Shadow will allow the Tornado to make precision strikes in poor weather with a greatly increased stand-off range from the target area. Brimstone will provide the Tornado with an effective anti-armour weapon, also providing an enhanced stand-off range.
Whoops... The harrier mis-led me The odd-numbered ones are Ground attack and the even ones are lighter more general purpose. But yeah, 27mm cannons. Daz, I'm not saying all-powerful but a little capability to fight back, as it is a Fighter-bomber not just a Bomber full stop. And Guns are only good in-close so they'd only be able to fight back if they got close so you'd need 3 or 4 to down an F15 and you'd probably loose half... _________________ Yes, work on MV continues. honestly i think there is no point to realistic mods. its RA2! not the real world.not everything has to do the thing it does in real life. (O_o whoa I just confused myself.) _________________

Sorry Lt Albrecht, Daz has a point. I'm keeping it as a dedicated ground attack craft. If you wanna use something thats capable of both ground and air combat the Strike Fighter category is your choice. Also thanks Daz for the gun type correction. keep in mind that game tactics is very different in C&C: Shattered Skies, you don't send in a bunch of defenseless ground attack planes without escort.
@biohazard, keep in mind that this is Ace Combat, aircraft in this mod carries more ammo than you think this project isn't about total realism.
I'll make the cockpit more roundish later. _________________

Do I see a massive micro requirement and new, massssssive maps?
Anyways...I'm not really sure if you've worked out the rules.ini for the flying and such, but will the Aircraft get Omnifire? _________________ Please, read the signature rules of the forum. QUICK_EDIT

@ Destiny: yes, micromanagement is a major factor in this project, aircraft can also dodge missiles in this mod but don't let it fool you because it doesn't mean you're invincible. Probably higher generation aircraft with high performance weaponry might have omnifire because this logic only makes things easier in targeting enemies. The economy is also being revamped as I made a description here: http://www.ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19336 which will have a set of rules on mapping restrictions. This project aims to put dogfighting to its best as possible, as well introducing new tactics. You won't be seeing things like noobish tank rushes anymore as hard counters are totally removed from this game.....
Aircraft types for each faction in this project will include:
