Gas mines contain poisonous tiberium gas extracted from tiberium veins. Once an infantry unit or vehicle comes close enough to the mine, the gas is fired towards the target. The unit that triggered the mine will take the most damage, while the surrounding units will be affected if they do not immediately move out of the gas clouds. The gas clouds can spread over large area over time, which makes it unwise to deploy these mines too close to your own base. Gas mines need to be moved to the desired location and then deployed.
