Fanatics are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice by giving up their lives for Kane and Nod's cause. These people usually have nothing left to lose. Confessors brainwash them and channel their hatred towards anything that happens to stand in Nod's way. Fanatics run up to their target and detonate the explosive charges that they carry on their back, dealing alot damage over a large area. Extreme care needs to be taken when commanding Fanatics: If the Fanatic gets killed before reaching the target, the explosive charges he carries will go off, potentially destroying any nearby friendly forces. The Fanatics know no fear and will never take cover. Fanatics are effective against most things, though heavily armored units and buildings are able to withstand the explosions better. Simply rushing at the enemy with Fanatics alone is usually not a good idea because the Fanatics wear no armor and are quick to die from any anti-infantry fire.
