Thanks Lin Kuei Ominae. The problem is that I tried to implement it to the mod but it always appears with the wrong color palette on the sidebar. If anyone of your team can implent it correctly, that would be great. I don´t know if this has the same quality than the new icons of your mod but I tried my best anyways

The pic was made a bit too far from the vehicle, making it and its turret small and unrecognizable at first glance, which is all the time players will have when faced with DTA's Kirov equivalent in terms of fear.

Make it bigger.

and the truck also doesn't look military enough. the color makes it look like a farmer truck.
In addition use PNG as image format. JPG compression ruins images.


When you want to implement it,
-start SHP Builder
-best open an existing other cameo from DTA (so canvas is already correct size)
-go to Palette menu and load DTA's cameo.pal (you have to extract it before with XCC Mixer from \MIX\Cache.mix)
-now with the existing cameo open and showing in the right colors, simply copy paste your image into SHP Builder
-save your cameo as a new file

-to see your cameo ingame, insert your cameo in an ecache99.mix with XCC Mixer. Make sure your cameo has the same filename as the one that you want to replace (in your case MFLKICON.shp).

I remade the icon from scratch and succesfully tested it in-game. Tell me if this better than the old one or in case it isn´t, I´ll try to make a new one

the truck is better but i don't like the clearly copy pasted Flak Turret onto the truck.
I think best would be if you try to find an image of real vehicle matching the ingame flak truck, like this

but in better quality.

It isn't necessary to see all of the wheels. The turret is slightly more important. Maybe zooming in just little...

it looks too much squeezed together.
The first one, without squeezing its width and only slightly more zoomed on the turret. The last one is zoomed in way too much.

How about using the bottom left one?

or this

add a few more barrels to make it a quad barreled flak, then add a background. This has focus on the flak, which is nice imo

Why don't you guys use the quad cannon from Generals? It is a good cameo.


Or you can just use that one...

...just replace the tracks with tires.

Here is the icon with the unit´s name in SHP format. Succesfully tested in-game to see if some errors could appear with the color in the sidebar. Maybe this is somewhat off-topic but are you interested if I try to re-create the C&C TD Beta bridge that appeared on several magazines years ago for your mod or do you think is a bit redundant with the existing bridge texture?
