DTA will not install

hello all hope some one can help me
when I try to install the game the following error pops up

HRESULT:[0X887A0022], Module: [sharpDX.DXGI], ApiCode:
[DXGI_ERROR_NOT_CURRENTLY_AVAILABLE/NotCurrentlyAvailable],
Message:A resource is not available at the time of the call, but may become available later.

so I am guessing its a server issue or my computer is blocking something have turned of firewall but still not working anyone no what the problem is ?

It wasn't DirectX but I needed to get a different driver for my video card. Once I started digging into the directx possibility it showed me my driver issue. Thank you!

The issue is very repeatable, as it happens every time I launch it. I tried running as administrator, I checked to make sure the .zip checksum is the same, I have the XNA 4.0 framework installed, the Microsoft .NET framework installed; everything seems like it should work properly. Only thing to note is that I am running this on a virtual machine off a MacBook Air because it's the only computer I have. The VM has 2.5 gb of allocated memory; I'm not sure if this contributes to it.

EDIT: I fixed the problems, I had to install extra helpers to enable Direct3D and I had to switch the compatibility to TS-DDRAW before it worked. Works (mostly) now Smile

It's most likely a graphics driver issue. You can give a try to an alternative client version though:

1) Install DTA by downloading and unzipping this ZIP package: http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-dawn-of-the-tiberium-age/downloads/dta-v1169

2) Install Microsoft XNA Framework 4.0 Refresh Redist from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27598

3) Go to the directory where you installed DTA, then go to the "Resources" sub-directory, and from there run "clientxna.exe".

Does DTA work then?
