error after current update

Having made the latest update on DTA I get an error message TS-DDRAW-GDI does not exist..

I have absolutely no idea?

Can someone advise, please?

Sounds like something went wrong with the update. You have two options:

1) Download DTA again from https://www.moddb.com/mods/the-dawn-of-the-tiberium-age/downloads/dta1175 and overwrite your current DTA files with those in the archive.

2) This is a bit more technical, but if you want to avoid re-downloading the game, you can try going into your DTA directory and performing the following steps:

- Delete the "version" file

- Go to the "Resources" sub-directory and open Renderers.ini. Under [Renderers] there's a line 2=TS-DDRAW-GDI, remove that line or comment it out by adding a ; at the start of the line. Save the file afterwards.

- Start DTA. If the client works, wait a bit and it should offer you another update.

Usually corrupted updates happen due to interference from antivirus programs which falsely think that one of DTA's files contains malware. While I wouldn't recommend this in general, if you suspect that this could be the case, you should also disable your antivirus for the update or add DTA on its whitelist.
