Subject description: Rocket launcher unit error

Hi! I recently played mission 2 of the classic game mode GDI campaign. There appears the rocket launcher unit from Nod. I tried to send out a humvee first which is too fast for their rockets to hit. However there's an error.

You can see the rocket launcher vehicle launching the rockets and they fly slowly towards my humvee. My humvee is able to evade and drive further and the first rocket crashes into the ground, but the explosion sprite is still on my humvee and also the damage. The second rocket's explosion sprite is properly shown where it landed and no damage is applied to my humvee.

This behaviour is a weird limitation of the TS engine where projectiles sometimes "snap" into their target.

You might recall also seeing this with the original Tiberian Sun Nod deployed artillery, where the projectile sometimes visually missed but still actually hit the target.

The next patch will contain a major improvement to this, though. Mainly the Nod SSM missiles have been more inaccurate than we intended, so them snapping should be less problematic in the future.
