(WIP) Invader Defense: Shredder

The Alien Shredder is the primary light defensive gun emplacement in any one of their bases.

Shredders are equipped with a low phase pulse laser, which fires in rapid succession. The central crystal device emits this laser.

In actuality, this is the littler of the two defenses we have classified as "Shredders".

The name comes from the rate which the devices can shred through infantry and light armored formations. Its bigger brother, the heavy shredder, is far more formidable than it, and is used to stop our heavy armored units.

Air support is advised when attacking with infantry.

Important Notes:
Shredders have very long ranges compared to most light ground defenses- capable of getting the first shot on a light tank. Armor is sacrificed for a very small size and assumably cheap production cost. Power reliance appears to be null, a strange panel on the side of the device gathers power.

Strength: 300 to 400
Cost: 300 to 500
Range: 10 to 12
Damage per shot: About 10
ROF: About 1/2 second

Orientated Toward: Light Armor, Infantry
Weak Against: Armor, Heavy Infantry, Buildings, Ships, Aircraft, Helicopters

Very small, no? The Aliens like quick to deploy defenses. The Heavy Shredder is bigger, and not complete. :P

but wouldn't the red light brighten up the darkside?

also a suggestion, is maybe it should popup to attack. I just imagine a tank rush stampeding over it. #Tongue

I don't really like the it. Althought the concept is good, the technical side is somewhat bad. Just add a bit more sharpness to it and it should be better imo.

It is an Alien device, and as of recently, I have started trying to stray away from earthly designs in defenses. Besides, like it is stated in the description, it is powered the remapabble crystal in the center of the device(may add opening animation for the device).
Dont fear though, thar be other chances for barreled defenses for the ze Aliens.
