The Fusion Tank, or XT-36 by SSIA designation, is a very powerful ground assault vehicle equipped with what humans call a Focus, or Fusion cannon. A fusion cannon works by converting nuclear energy provided by the tank's reactor over time into a weaponized form. By absorbing materials from the environment and material generators within the vehicle itself, the tank synthesizes a shell casing and explosive propellent. Like most Invader vehicles, this allows for continuous operation until destruction or serious malfunction, which in all truthfulness, is a rare occurrence. Fusion Tanks allow Invader commanders the ability to combat massed enemy armor at a longer range for a trade-off in speed and a small blind spot.

Notes:
The XT-36 is designed more with armor in mind than the XT-39 and XT-30, resulting in a slower speed and rate of turn.
The XT-36 Focus Cannon system is too powerful to control in the way it effects armor; this results in projectiles fired from XT-36s being able to damage friendly XT-36s.
The XT-36 armor is significantly more shielding than the XT-30 or XT-36's; far fewer Fusion Tanks have been lost to thrown tracks than with the latter two vehicles- a good thing considering the time required for a Defender Support or Technology Hub to synthesize track replacements.
